Description
With Deep Throat as only his fifth film, Gerard Damiano spent the majority of his career in the shadow of the most well know adult film of all time. The marketing power of the Deep Throat name would attach it to every product he helmed, and yet only its follow-up, The Devil in Miss Jones, was able to make itself another pop culture footnote. These two extremes, the corny slapstick of Throat and the disturbing bleakness of Jones, showed off his effective work at both ends of the spectrum. The films that followed continued to offer new directions for his work, and many are remembered by at least the hardcore cult film fan and porn hound.
